    New packaging blends ease of use with reduced handling

    Vanderpol’s Eggs recently launched some brilliant new packaging options – helping customers reduce the amount of packaging in their restaurants while saving time in the kitchen.

    “We see a lot of customers who want to reduce the amount of packaging they have to handle each day.  Less packaging is important, plus they want packaging that works” says Henry Meerstra, Vanderpol’s sales manager.

    Vanderpol’s 2 litre cartons are a huge success, quickly replacing the 1 litre version – the larger cartons are easy to open, easy to pour, and reduce the number of cartons handled each day.  The vibrant colours also quickly identify the product – another noticeable feature appreciated by end users (2 litre format available for whole egg, egg white, yolk, cage free, omega, scramble egg mix).  Vanderpol’s also has solutions for the high volume customers who welcome the 13.6 kg bag in box.

    Congratulations to Chef Dustin Setso, Executive Chef @ the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center in Canmore, Alberta.  His name was drawn as part of the on-line Hollandaise promo and he is now the proud owner of the iPad2.

    Hollandaise sauce

    Since the launch of our new Hollandaise sauce, we’ve been receiving rave reviews from our customers. Feedback is so important to us – in fact, it’s how we came up with the sauce in the first place. In July, we launched our new Hollandaise sauce with an online promotion, asking customers what they thought of our product for a chance to win an iPad. The feedback we received allowed us to determine if we’ve succeeded in meeting the needs of our customers. We’re excited to find out that we did!

    Chefs find that our sauce is one of the best, premade Hollandaise sauces in the market – especially the chefs who have to execute breakfast and seafood menus. They find the heat-stability of our new sauce especially beneficial. If serving dishes such as Eggs Benedict or fish, they now don’t have to worry about the Hollandaise sauce separating or losing its consistency due to long periods of heating. It’s “gourmet Hollandaise without the prep time”!
